Astra Nova began its journey in 2020 with the goal of creating a unique MetaRPG on Unreal Engine 5 and Hedera, a distributed ledger technology solution. During the first year, the founders focused on researching, ideating, and conceptualising a game that would be connected to and supported by the gaming community. While some web3 games have offered great utility for virtual assets, these assets often require a significant effort to sell due to a lack of certain key characteristics.
As gaming enthusiasts, the team is working on a groundbreaking game that could potentially dominate the web3 gaming industry. The game features “Deviants,” which are companion characters for players and reveal hidden mysteries within the Astra Nova game lore.

From 2021 to 2022 Q4 the team consisting of Game and art veterans have spent countless hours and resources to concept, create and get these characters ready.
More than $100,000 has been spent over this period for the development of the Deviants NFT. These aren’t your average NFT collection which has a lifespan of a few months, it’s a complete utility packed in-game companion character part of a vast game universe!
Q1 2023
The Deviants Mint Pass consists of 3 tiers (Diamond,Gold & Silver) and are a method for the community to get into the Deviants NFT collection with several early bird benefits. They are used to redeem the Deviants NFT with additional perks for early Deviants Mint Pass community supporters.

The Deviants Silver Mint Pass will be available to users from February 7th 4 PM UTC to February 9th 4PM UTC. First 24 hrs will be for the Whitelist mint, next 24hrs Public mint. The Deviants NFT will be launched on March 15th and made available on top NFT marketplaces (OpenSea, Rarible, LooksRare,etc). During the same quarter, the NFT staking program will also go live.
Q2 2023
Upgradation of the Deviants NFTs by adding animation through the evolution hub, which will be staffed by in-house animation and VFX experts after the Deviants NFT launch. In conjunction with this, Astra Nova will also release a set of unique Evolved Deviants NFTs on the Hedera network.
This will be a significant milestone for Astra Nova, its partners at Hedera, and the project’s supportive community.
On the access and adoption front, Q2 will see the launch of the Deviants collection on centralized exchange Crypto.com to go along with the release of the Deviants Webtoon made available for holders. Deviants holders will also get a new way to earn passive income with the launch of the Deviants staking platform. Other highlights in this quarter include the Legendary Deviants Auction Drop held in collaboration with Billboard Artist Luciana Caporaso and another NFT drop that will take place on a major exchange.
Q3 2023
Will bring the opportunity for Deviant holders to upgrade their NFTs with a 3D avatar-ready version that can be used in user profiles on platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Discord, and Facebook. This will be made possible through our partnership with Animaze. Evolved Deviants will be able to be staked starting in Q3, and the initiation of upgradable traits for Deviants will also occur to go along with the Deviants AR Avatar update.
In this quarter, Deviants will also release IRL 3D printed versions of the NFTs as merchandise and launch the Deviants Swag Shop where users can purchase collectibles and Deviants apparel.
Q4 2023 - Q3 2024
Deviants will have its own mini-game. The game will feature character upgrades and the ability to upgrade the NFTs. Battle Pass seasonal rewards will be released, and will include the release of Deviants up-gradable assets.
Q4 2024
Use of Deviants for gameplay in Astra Nova will be enabled.

The team behind the Deviants at Astra Nova has extensive experience in the web3 ecosystem. The co-founders, Faizy Ahmed and Muhamed Ashhar, has vast years of expertise in blockchain development, gaming, and finance. Ben X Trinh is the Chief Strategy Officer based in Brooklyn, U.S.A. and has played a crucial role in crafting the Astra Nova narrative for a web3 audience. Keith Barrows is the Chief Legal Officer with a strong track record of legal expertise in the web3 space.
Marce Moya Ochoa, the Art Director, and David Salisbury, the Creative Director, are both talented and creative members of the Astra Nova team. Marcelo has worked with brands such as PlayStation, Red Bull, Warner Bros., Gatorade, OPPO, and Movistar. David is an award winning creative writer and storyteller who has a history in crafting amazing brand identities.
Finally, the 3D artists have significant experience developing assets for prestigious games such as Assassin’s Creed, GTA, FIFA, and Mortal Kombat 11.
